Total Solar Eclipse : Glendo, WY

On 8.21.17, my family and I witness the Total Solar Eclipse in Glendo, Wyoming. It was the most amazing experience I've ever witnessed. I cried when totality hit. I will never forget how the sun was dimming or how the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. Or when we saw the diamond the second before complete totality and the second after it finished. I won't forget hearing the screams of excitement as we stood in darkness together staring at the moon blocking the sun. This is a moment I will never forget and a moment I hope i get to see again. My photos and video do not do this experiences justice. But I wanted to document as much as I could while still being in the moment. If you ever get a chance to see a total solar eclipse GO SEE IT! it is worth every second. I will be somewhere on the path of totality, April 8th 2024.

WWE Smackdown Live | San Diego 6.27.17

Courtney Tomesch WWE Smackdown Live San Diego CA
In June, I went to my first WWE TV Taping. It was so much fun. I definitely like the house shows over the TV taping because its less talking and more matches and they can play off the crowd more.
One bummer going to the show is we missed the dark match - Tye Dillinger and Eric Rowan and the beginning of the show - Daniel Bryan kicking out James Ellsworth from the arena, because the shows in CA start so early and we hit all of the traffic.
I really enjoyed the show. I totally marked out when Shane McMahon showed up. I had no clue he was going to be there. The best match on the night, hands down was the women's money in the bank match. I had goose bumps the second Charlotte Flair's music hit and during the whole match. The women headline the show and tore the roof off. I definitely had a sore throat afterwards, because I was screaming so loudly.
We also got to see 205 Live. It's such a bummer the story lines on that show are boring. I wasn't to invested in to what was happening. But I LOVE Jack Gallagher. He's great and I was pretty stoked to see him.
The main event of the show was a 6- man tag match. AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Randy Orton VS. Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, and Jinder Mahal. I was a fun match but it was like 5 minutes and we didn't get enough time to see what they all could do. That is definitely a down side to this TV taping, I didn't get to see the people I wanted to wrestle really wrestle.
I would have loved to see The New Day fight, as well as full matches from all the guys in the 6-man tag. But I can't complain to much. Not seeing these guys wrestle so the women can have a proper headlining Money in the Bank match was totally worth it for me.
I hope to do more TV taping and of course more house shows. I have to do a raw brand show so I can see all from that brand.

DIY Gryffindor House Banner (Harry Potter)

Courtney Tomesch DIY Gryffindor House Banner (Harry Potter)

Here is how I made a DIY Gryffindor Banner! Note this DIY will take longer than 5 minutes. Just depends on how fast you are at hand sewing. I’d suggest watching Harry Potter while you do this DIY!

Adventure to the Redwoods

Courtney Tomesch Adventure to the Redwoods
Memorial Day weekend, I went up to the Redwoods to assist on a photo shoot for Brandy. I was up there 2 years ago for her wedding. I totally fell in love with that area and always want to go back. I was happy to go back. It is such a beautiful place up there. This time on the we drove the Avenue of the Giants. It was such a beautiful drive. I also got to do some drive by sigh seeing in San Francisco. I need to do a proper trip to San Francisco so I can see everything there.
Be sure to check out the vlog I made from the trip and check back on my online stores for photos to buy. RedBubble and Society6  And links to my other blog posts from my last trip up north are here and here.

Aquarium of the Pacific | Long Beach

Courtney Tomesch Aquarium of the Pacific Long Beach

A month ago we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. I was most excited to see the jellyfish. They are on of my favorite things to photograph.
When we first got to the Aquarium, we were approved by a few people from Helpful Honda. They go around to places in southern California and give away random things if you drive a honda. My brother and I have a Honda civic and because we drove a Honda they gave us 4 free tickets to an animal experiences. We had no clue what it was and were going to skip it but totally glad we didn't. We got the Sea Otter experience, we learned about how much food otters eat, see where their food is prepped and then we got to feed the otters and be a part of their show! It was a total awesome experience and even cooler that we got to do it for free. If you're even at the Aquarium of the Pacific, I highly recommend doing one of the animal experiences. You learn so much about the animals.
I have uploaded a few photos from this day at the Aquarium to my RedBubble and Society6 stores and 15% of all sales from those photos are going to be donated to the Aquarium of the  Pacific. Please check out the photos and pick up a few. There is something for everyone even at different price points.
